Take a roaring horn section, a rhythm section with groove and soul, a virtuoso woodwind player/singer as frontman, and you get Professor Cunningham and his Old School.

This award-winning New York-based band performs the most swinging and groovy repertoire, deeply rooted in the Hot Jazz and New Orleans tradition: from early jazz to early R&B. They are one of the most sought-after Hot Jazz bands at international festivals and on the Lindy Hop dance scene.

They have received the Best Band award two years in a row at the World Jam competition in Madrid, as well as the Best Band award at the Harlem Festival (Vilnius, Lithuania).

The group is led by the in-demand vocalist and saxophonist/clarinetist Adrian Cunningham, an Australian based in New York and one of his country's finest jazz exports. The group comprises some of the most energetic and prominent musicians on the New York circuit and has been a regular fixture at underground parties and the NYC swing dance scene. They have also performed at numerous high-profile events around the world.
