We present the third band of the Menorca Lindy Exchange 2023: The Big Band of the Escola de Música i Dansa des Mercadal.
Led by Josep Lluís Pons (Trumpet of the Swing Crusaders) and with more than twenty members, most of them students of the Escola de Música des Mercadal.
This Big Band will transport us to the golden era of swing, with a classic repertoire that will go back to the 30s and 40s with songs by Benny Goodman, Jerry Gray, Joe Garland, Bart Howards, Alan Jay Lerner, Cole Porter, Benny Moten, Ray Henderson, etc.
One of the best rated bands in previous editions that always surprises those who hear it for the first time. With these young performers the future of swing music is assured.
